“Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation” Isaiah 28:6
The Touchstone of our Faith
Beneath the sands of an archaeological mound lay the foundation stone upon which millennia of families built their lives. Yeshua admonishes us to build on the rock. Yeshua is that rock of revelation.
What’s In A Name?
even / אֶבֶן / Stone, Rock
gilion / גִּלָּיוֹן / Scroll, Tablet, Sheet, Revealed
About Us: Yeshua said, “upon this rock I will build My community; and the gates of Sheol will not overpower it.” At the Center of Messianic Studies, we proclaim the “Revealed Stone” of Messiah. He is the tried and rejected stone, revealed to be the precious corner stone of our lives. Also Yeshua is the “Revealed Stone” of the Gospel. The Hebrew name, Even Gilion in Hebrew, was used by early Jewish believers as a word play for the Greek evangelion, the Good News or Gospel. Our name also signifies the written truth of God’s word engraved on stone (EVEN) tablet (GILION) at Mt. Sinai.
Moreover we invite you to discover the revelation of Yeshua, Messiah of Israel, and God’s plan for your life. Therefore this is the Good News that you have been waiting for.
WHO WE ARE?
We are a ministry of the Shemen Sasson Congregation in Jerusalem. Through lectures, teaching, and training, we are fulfilling the command to equip believers, for the work of service, for building up the body of Messiah.
We Believe In
- the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
- there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
- in the Blessed Hope—the Rapture of the righteous at Messiah’s coming.
- the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of the Messiah.
- regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
- the redemptive work of Yeshua on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
- the infilling of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
- in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Believer is enabled to live a holy life.
- in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
